Apple Announces iPhone 4S
Tim Cook made his first product launch today
Cupertino, California –Tim Cook made his first product launch today - the iPhone 4S. The rumors about a sleek new innovative design with a larger screen were wrong, as nothing of the kind showed up. Instead, the 4S features the same physical design but with an improvement in camera functionality and some new integrated features.
"Today will remind you of the uniqueness of this company as we announce innovation from our mobile operating system, to applications to services to hardware -- and more importantly, the integration of all of these into powerful, yet simple and integrated experiences", said Tim Cook, CEO of Apple, Inc.
"In the second calendar quarter iPhones grew 125% - far outpacing the rest of the smartphone industry", said Cook. "And 94% of the Fortune 500 are testing the iPhone these days."
