What it does? The Virtensys I/O virtualization switch is the only solution that is non-disruptive to existing data center operations allowing users to take advantage of I/O virtualization. The switches create an I/O cloud where I/O resources are consolidated shared and dynamically allocated based on application needs while receiving full connectivity bandwidth to the corporate network and storage infrastructures. Off-the-shelf IO adapters reside in the I/O virtualization switch which replaces multiple top of rack networking and storage aggregation switches and provides a direct connection to the corporate network backbone. Users can eliminate multiple layers of aggregation switches I/O adapters disk drives and cables.
